"Bro Peter - we're being kicked out of our flat!"
"Bro Peter - Its time I settled down - can you build me a house!"
"Bro Peter - We need to talk, I just found out my wife has been unfaithful to me while I was in prison!"
"Bro Peter - I need money for my taxi fares this week!"
"Bro Peter - can you pay my ... bill?"
"Bro Peter - When are you coming to see me?"
Life is not about Brother Peter but about the One who came and made himself available to all and who is the shelter and the strength in all of the difficult situations above.
Life is a joy when lived from the place of being just a servant and not lived as being the solution.
Three hours later I can add the following additional mornings requests;
"Bro Peter - I'm ringing from ____ courthouse and have been given bail if I can pay $500 cash security. I don't have that, I need your help!"
"Bro Peter - "Can I borrow your brushcutter for a couple of days to find some work?"
The day finished with the even greater difficulty of yet another family relationship breakdown and separation that I was alerted to by one more phone-call.
I'm now sitting and reflecting on the day - with my phone switched off.
Blessings
Peter
